The Heartbreak Kids were a punk band based in Princeton, WV from 1999 - 2004. After releasing two full length albums under the HBK name the band changed members, moved to more of a rock and roll style and changed their name to Darling Articles.

The Hottest Thing Around is the second full length album from HBK. Originally released in 2002 on Mike Billups pre Coffin Curse record label, Radio Eat Radio Records.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Russ Fox at Broadmoor Recording Studios (Huntington, WV).
